Isaac and Paulina Osei-Akoto Africa and the Middle East

Location: Ghana

Ministry Focus: Isaac and Paulina are professionals in education and healthcare and the environment, respectively. In partnership with other Christian ministries, their ministry centers around presenting Christ to the unsaved youth in Ghana through education and healthcare-related community development projects and initiatives. They work through Christian NGOs like Community Transformation Partners International (CTPI) in Canada, Community Leadership and Empowerment Partners (CLEP) in Ghana and Scripture Union (SU) Ghana to reach out to impoverished students and communities by supplying them with educational and healthcare resources and providing leadership and skills training, and health promotion programs. Their current community project is the Pramso Library Project, a community library project aimed to serve about 2,000 students in the rural township of Pramso. By creating the first and only library learning commons in this strategic town, they also intend to create an opportunity to win and disciple the Kindergarten -12 students for Christ. They feel God’s call to bring their spiritual and professional knowledge and experience to benefit the youth in Ghana.

Ministry History: Isaac is a teacher and ordained minister with the PAOC holds a Ph. D. degree in Public Policy and Administration, and has 22 years of high school teaching experience in Ghana and Canada combined. He also served a 4-year term with InterVarsity Ghana (GHAFES) as Training Secretary. For most of his life as a Christian, he has taught and preached in several churches in Ghana, the United States, and Canada. By profession, Paulina is a Biochemist. She also has a Master of Public Health degree as well as post-graduate in Environmental Control and Post-Graduate in Health and Safety degrees. Before working for the Region of Peel in Canada as an environmentalist for the past 15 years, she spent six years working as clinical biochemist and laboratory manager in Ghana. Teaching Sunday School, mentoring the youth, and delivering workshops and seminars in spiritual disciplines and health promotion are her passion. Together, Isaac and Paulina feel a call by God to bring their spiritual and professional knowledge and experience to benefit the youth in Ghana, most of whom are adrift and need spiritual guidance to peace with God through career and skills development.
