Rooted in a passionate commitment to the Great Commission, Oto’s vision is to see every believer actively participating in God’s global mission while fostering deep collaboration across the global church. Because the least engaged peoples of the world are still waiting to hear and experience the Good News, Oto serves the Latin American church by helping equip and strengthen to scale its global sending capacity. 

Central to this work is the Business for Transformation (B4T) Incubator—an innovative program that equips leaders, local churches, and mission agencies with the frameworks, mentorship, and practical tools needed to build self-sustaining platforms. By shifting the focus toward strategic equipping, Oto seeks to catalyze indigenous sending movements that unleash a dynamic generation of Latin American workers into the global harvest. 

Responding to the rapid growth of the Church in the Global South, Oto’s ministry supports the 600-million-strong Latin American church as it raises up workers for unreached regions through a three-fold pathway: 

• Engage: Connecting Canadian volunteers and families to global mission through NEXO International Ministries’ learning trips and Impact Vacations, while facilitating domestic visual art experiences that foster community and spiritual formation. 

• Equip: Empowering Latin American churches, leaders, and mission agencies to launch sustainable initiatives in restricted-access regions through key frameworks like the B4T Incubator and formation courses such as Light for the Nations. 

• Mentor: Coaching believers along every stage of the missional journey—from their initial steps of faith to ongoing field support for deployed Latino workers. 

Building on a long legacy of pastoral and cross-cultural service, Oto and Liz have been ordained to full-time ministry since 1992, bringing over three decades of leadership across English and Spanish congregations in the Greater Toronto Area and Waterloo region. In those foundational years, they actively championed global missions, led teams to Spain, and utilized original worship music to raise support for global ventures. 

Expanding their call to international mobilization, Oto and Liz founded NEXO International Ministries in 2010. Through NEXO’s learning and serving trips, hundreds of Canadian volunteers have deepened their discipleship while directly engaging in cross-cultural mission fields. 

Deepening this global footprint, Oto spearheaded the translation, development, and contextualization of the Business for Transformation (B4T) Incubator for Latin America in 2023. Through this platform, he actively mentors cross-cultural workers and missional entrepreneurs serving in diverse environments—from Amazonian jungles and vulnerable urban centers to unreached towns in Spain, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. As a direct result of completing the B4T Incubator himself, Oto launched RECREarte, a missional visual arts venture that combines creative expression with discipleship for wellness, spiritual formation, and community outreach, with the ultimate goal of mobilizing creative global workers. 

Extending this vision into local and regional impact, Oto regularly speaks and teaches at partner churches on missions and outreach, while Liz serves as the Intake Coordinator and Outreach Lead at The Village - Parenting Centre in Kitchener, supporting an average of 900 new Canadian families in crisis every month. 

• For Kingdom Laborers: That the Lord of the Harvest will call and send Latino workers to reach the unreached using Business for Transformation ventures. 

• For Wisdom & Resources: That God will grant wisdom and provide essential funding to equip cross-cultural workers in partnership with Latin American mission agencies. 

• For Field Workers: That God will strengthen, protect, and encourage B4T alumni as they faithfully sow seeds in challenging fields across the globe. 

• For Family Legacy: That God will continue to honor the legacy of faith within Oto and Liz’s family, inspiring each generation to walk in joyful obedience to His calling.
