Sue Carlisle is an enrolled member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. She grew up on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. In her early years, Sue had two dreams: She wanted to graduate from Bible College and she wanted to be involved in Native Ministry. Sue had the joy of speaking at a Kids’ Camp for Native children in Thunder Bay, Ontario for several years. In more recent years, she graduated from Bible College and joined NorthWind Family Ministries’ team in Thunder Bay when her husband retired in 2013. Sue is excited to be living out her dreams, having the opportunity to teach at their Sunday gatherings and also when she does one-on-one discipleship with friends. Sue is actively involved in the bookkeeping for NorthWind Family Ministries, and loves to bake for their many different events. A woman of many skills, Sue has written a bi-monthly column for Indian Life Newspaper since 2005, and has a book published through them entitled, Walking with the Creator Along the Narrow Road.
Wes is an accountant who has a great heart for ministry. He worked as a business administrator in churches in Saskatoon, Toronto and Mississauga for 18 years. Wes enjoys helping ministries with systems, policies, HR practices, and financial reporting that enable them to accomplish God’s calling. Wes and Sue moved from Mississauga to Thunder Bay in 2013 to volunteer with NorthWind Family Ministries where Wes is their full-time business administrator. He occasionally teaches at the Sunday afternoon gatherings, and enjoys being engaged in this area of ministry and in this part of our nation in his retirement years.
