LOCATION: Guinea/ AME
TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: We want to see diverse churches planted in people groups in Guinea. Our vision is to see fully empowered believers transforming their communities through evangelism and caring for their neighbours. Having ministered in DR Congo, Rwanda, and Canada, over the past three decades, our passion is to take the gospel where Christ is not known (Rom. 15:20-22).
MINISTRY FOCUS: More than 87% of the nation (30 of 48 people groups), are unreached. Training and mentorship will release new believers to grow in their faith, reaching their nation.
There is also a gap in healthcare for expectant mothers and children. As a result, the infant mortality rate is almost 20 times higher than Canada.
We will partner with Alleluia Church and PAOC global workers, Phil and Judy Bowler, to plant 1,000 churches the next ten years, targeting the 30 unreached people groups. We are specifically investing in reaching the next generation, discipling new believers, and caring for the poor and marginalized. The focus is on outreach, Bible studies, planting house churches, ChildCare PLUS, disciple-making movements, and missions training programs. The Sonfonia Paediatric Health and Training Centre will convey God’s love by caring for children from poor and marginalized families, while training and sending out disciple makers and church planters.
YOUR IMPACT: Your support will train believers in Guinea to become fully empowered to transform their communities through evangelism. And thousands of families will be impacted by God’s love through quality health care services that will improve children and mothers’ wellbeing.
MINISTRY HISTORY: Innocent graduated from a Pentecostal Bible college in the DR Congo, which opened the door to over 10 years of pastoring in the DR Congo and Rwanda. Serving as the secretary general of the Association of the Pentecostal Churches of Rwanda (ADEPR) for six years, positioned them to minister to Rwandans who were traumatized by the genocide that took place two years prior. Immaculee has recently been a health care aide, who cares deeply about people’s holistic wellbeing.
After serving as the assistant pastor at Gospel Centre Pentecostal church in Edmonton, Alberta for two years, Innocent planted Goshen Christian Assembly in the same city. Both Immaculee and Innocent have functioned bi-vocationally while pastoring at Goshen Christian Assembly.
The Lord says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts” Isaiah 55:8. When we immigrated to North America, we continued ministry in Canada while building a better future for ourselves and our five children. But a few years ago, the Holy Spirit stirred up our hearts to go back to Africa, where we can make a great impact for God’s Kingdom. In the beginning, we thought to go back to our homeland Rwanda, but God had a plan to send us to West Africa, where more fields are ripe for the harvest. Truly, we are not our own. In obedience to God’s call, we are ready to go to Guinea.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
-For our mentors, Phil and Judy Bowler, to receive Godly direction
-For God to open the hearts of the unreached and marginalized people of Guinea
-For God’s favor on us as we begin a new life in Guinea
-For partners, both financially and in prayer
