Ministry Focus: Dave and Marlene have been reaching out to those addicted by illegal substances sharing Jesus as the only hope for holistic transformation through Biblical principles. Commissioned as global workers to the Philippines by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, and in partnership with Share-A-Hope Freedom from Drug Addiction, a bible-based initiative towards transformation and wellness of any person working towards change through holistic drug recovery programs including spirituality. Their mandate is to share the redeeming and transforming love of Jesus through bible-based principles by conducting day programs for various audiences (in collaboration with local churches, public and private school districts), bringing awareness, resources and support to the community.
Ministry History: Dave and Marlene are Philippine-born, global workers, trained and certified in Canada. Both have worked with World Vision doing community development in the Philippines. They were urban missionaries in Canada reaching out to new immigrants helping them to assimilate and integrate into the community with practical help. Marlene is a certified Addiction Counselor specializing on drug, alcohol and other addictive substances. The Evangelista's are dedicating their more than 30 years experience in community development and outreach missions to give back to their birth country as commissioned global workers by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. They are working in collaboration with other churches in the local community who likewise believe in the godly principle of transformation and wellness of any person working towards “change” through holistic drug recovery programs including spirituality.
