With a population of 750 million and spanning 12 time zones, Eurasia is geographically the largest of the four regions – and one of the least reached – about half the countries in the region are only 1% or less evangelical. This vast region has huge spiritual needs and this fund, a fund to support missions in Eurasia in general, is a means to help address them.
Proceeds from the fund are used to benefit Global Workers (GW's) & National Partners (NP's).
They are used to help both with personal support and project expenses... including both capital & operational costs. To date they have been used operationally to help GW's in need, to help buy cars for GW's, to fund national church planting & leadership training programs, and to help with ministry expenses to impact the least reached & assist the most vulnerable.
In terms of capital projects they are used to buy property and purchase & renovate buildings for many ministries including churches, Teen Challenges, residences for
victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, bible colleges & seminaries, camps, & training centres.
The Regional Fundraising Team (RFT) has suggested the creation of a fund that people can give to that supports ministry in the region generally (as opposed to funds that go to specific GW's) to help achieve the goals of the Eurasia Strategic Plan.
