MISSION CANADA CULTURAL LANGUAGE WORKER

God put a special love for Canada in Elvis' heart to serve his community, his church, and his neighbours, in sharing the gospel and discipling other newcomers to Canada. Calgary is one of Canada's fastest growing cities, so it is an enormous mission field for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to newcomers (Matthew 9:37-38).
God called Elvis and his family to Canada in 2015 after serving with the Assemblies of God in his native country of Peru. After transferring his credentials to the PAOC, he started a Spanish ministry in partnership with one of our churches and the Alberta and Northwest Territories District until the pandemic. After this, while working other jobs as a driver, and line cook, Elvis knew these were temporary as he was called for ministry. God gave him ample opportunities at these jobs to share the gospel and lead others to Christ!
During these years, Elvis was praying for the nations in Canada, for the province of Alberta, and for the people of Calgary. He continues to connect with people from diverse backgrounds sharing the gospel with invitations to church services, discipling new believers and seeing people build their community of faith in our local churches.
Elvis serves as a cross-cultural missional worker in all he does. Will you partner with him in this gospel sharing work with newcomers to Calgary who are looking for the answers found only in Jesus Christ?
