Location: Eurasia
Ministry Focus: Cal and June Anthony have served in ministry with the PAONL (Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland) and the PAOC. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Cal served as the assistant to the superintendent with the Eastern Ontario and Nunavut District (EOND) for the past 16 years. Recently he resigned from this position and he and June are pursuing ministry with PAOC International Missions, particularly in Eurasia. They will serve as assistants to the regional director, Steve Hertzog. Their ministry focus will be visitation, encouragement, and support of global workers and national leaders. This ministry position will also serve to strengthen regional efforts, engaging in relationship building and developing a sense of community/family among diverse regional constituencies. Further, the Anthonys will promote awareness of ministry opportunities and needs in Eurasia in Canadian churches and colleges, and meet with individuals who feel called to missions in the region.
Ministry History: Cal and June Anthony began ministry over four decades ago with the PAONL. Twenty-five years ago they relocated to Ontario where they served in pastoral and district ministry. Their portfolio includes a wide range of responsibilities such as ministry to cultural language pastors/groups, francophone and Indigenous ministry, pastoral care to credential holders, family camp director, district missions representative (DMR), church transitions, leadership training forums and various other committees. All of this serves as a good background to the next step in their journey as global workers. They will be based in Canada but will travel to various countries/regions, encouraging and promoting ministry, with a particular focus on Eurasia.
