Location: Eurasia
Ministry Focus: Brent and Christy are Global Volunteers, which is a specific status within The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada that was created to allow people like us to take part in the work of the denomination overseas, while still being based in Canada. As PAOC Global Volunteers, our goal is to inspire, equip and encourage local ministries to reach out to the most hurting people of their communities, particularly those who have been harmed by violence of all kinds (with a focus on trauma, sexual violence, war and genocide).
Ministry History: This autumn, Brent will be teaching a course on Trauma Psychology for LCC University in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The class will be delivered online due to the pandemic. It's an exciting opportunity to teach students from a variety of countries in the Eurasia region! In October 2020, Brent and Christy have tentative plans to travel to Korosten, Ukraine, with their 4 children. There, Brent will teach a course on Trauma Counselling at Korosten Seminary, while the family will be engaging in outreach ministries to the community through the local church and seminary.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for the students of LCC University & Korosten Seminary.
- Pray for our family as we wait on the Lord to see what happens with our trip to Ukraine.
- Pray for us as we continue to source out future opportunities.
- Pray for Brent as he prepares material for the Trauma Psychology course for LCC University.
