LOCATION: Dominican Republic
VISION STATEMENT: Adrian and Sharon founded Every Day Ministries Canada in 2006 as a resource ministry partnering with the national evangelical church of the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to empower, develop, and mentor spiritual leaders, communities, and families so they can thrive in their God-given calling.
MINISTRY FOCUS: In response to the growing need for leadership development, we founded Every Day Ministries Canada in 2006. We are blessed to have our fellow global workers, Ryan and Heather DeWeerd and their family join our team we serve hundreds of pastors throughout the Dominican Republic's North Coast and Haiti.
Our primary focus is leading our Leadership Empowerment and Development (LEAD) ministry, where we train, equip, and mentor pastors and ministry leaders—especially those serving in rural communities who often have limited access to resources and training. We are committed to strengthening local churches by investing in their leaders and helping them flourish in ministry.
In partnership with local churches and pastors, we also organize and lead evangelistic and discipleship events that reach people of all ages and encourage spiritual growth within their communities.
Our ministry includes:
- Pastoral retreats and leadership conferences
- Women's leadership development and training
- Seminary education and practical skills training
- Child sponsorship initiatives
- Holistic pastoral care
Our goal is to care for pastors in every area of life—spiritually, physically, emotionally, economically, and socially—so they are equipped to lead healthy churches and vibrant communities.
YOUR IMPACT: You can help more Dominican Republic pastors receive personal holistic care, in order for them to flourish in their calling to transform their communities for Christ.
MINISTRY HISTORY: In January 2004, Adrian and Sharon, along with their three children, sold their home, packed their belongings into six hockey bags, and moved to the Dominican Republic with a clear calling: to come alongside pastors and church leaders by encouraging, equipping, and strengthening them in ministry.
After holding ministerial credentials with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) since 1991, Adrian and Sharon were appointed as full-time vocational missionaries in September 2007, when the Dominican Republic officially became part of the PAOC Latin America Caribbean (LAC) Missions family.
As pioneers on this newly established mission field, they have had the privilege of laying a strong ministry foundation that continues to equip pastors, strengthen churches, and develop leaders throughout the Dominican Republic. Through their leadership and the work of Every Day Ministries Canada, they remain committed to empowering the local Church and helping raise a new generation of leaders who will impact the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond.
Since its founding, Every Day Ministries Canada has grown significantly. The ministry has impacted hundreds of churches across the northeastern region of the Dominican Republic and helped facilitate the construction of more than 90 churches representing multiple denominations.
Today, our vision continues to grow. We are currently in the middle of a capital project by constructing a pastoral training centre that will serve leaders from across the Dominican Republic, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Our prayer is that this centre will equip and send a new generation of healthy, Spirit-led leaders who will strengthen the Church and expand God's Kingdom throughout the nations of the world.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- For God to help the Dominican Republic evangelical church to give and send more, rather than merely receive.
- For God to change and transform many move lives through our ministries.
- For God to provide and protect us in every area of our lives.
