Food and Support on the Road: Friday supper through Sunday lunch are provided.
We will have snacks and hydration on the route.
About the Ride: Riders will arrive in Ucluelet Friday afternoon or early evening. Supper will be provided at the church and bikes will be ready to go. The bike ride will start Saturday, July 27 at 9:00am after breakfast. A first break will be at Long Beach (23 km) and lunch will follow in Tofino (40 km). Riders will have some time to tour the town of Tofino and head back to Ucluelet after lunch. Another break will be at Long Beach and the ride will conclude in Ucluelet mid afternoon.
*If you are biking the 40 or 65 km option, you and your bike will be picked up at the appropriate stops.*
The ride has a 500m elevation gain. For a moderate cyclist, who bikes 23 km/hr, the riding time would be about 3.5 hours. If you plan to ride slower than 23 km/hr, please consider starting about 30 minutes ahead of the rest of the riders or enjoy the 40km one way ride. For advance riders, the path does not allow you to carry a faster average speed due to 30 gates you will have to navigate through, which keeps motorized vehicles off the path. The road is in excellent condition and winds gently along Hwy 4 with multiple beach views.
ALL RIDERS WILL RECEIVE WAIVERS TO SIGN
We ask all riders to promote the ride and getting friends and family to donate to the cause by coming to this page and making a charitable donation. Let's do this together!
If you would like to ride, please email Lydia!
