MISSION CANADA CAMPUS APPRENTICE
Ministry Location: University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC
Ministry Focus: Campus Ministry
After five years studying engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Connor feels called to invest his 2025-26 school year on staff with University Christian Ministries (UCM), a community that has been pivotal in his walk with God. Connor is excited by the opportunity to help UBC students encounter Jesus and grow in their faith.
Connor arrived at university with a shallow, untested faith, and that faith was quickly stress-tested in the chilly, secular environment of UBC. He experienced God's grace through peers and leaders in various campus ministries, including UCM. Having been discipled on campus, Connor is excited to do the same for others! As an apprentice, Connor makes space for others to experience the same changing work of Jesus, mainly by facilitating group Bible studies, having one-on-one discipleship meetings, and helping run outreach programs like Alpha, Red Frogs, and Perspective Card evangelism. In a time where many university students are staring down an uncertain future, Connor is devoted to making space for students to experience the Word as living and active, and to come away with lives built more firmly on Christ.
