Family Ministries Pastor

1. Assist the Lead Pastor in discipling Hiway Pentecostal Church (Hiway) families with children aged newborn to 11. 2. Develop opportunities for unchurched people (families with children from newborn to 11 years old), to experience Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. 3. Recruit and develop Hiway congregants to serve in the area of children’s ministry 4. Work along side the Pastoral staff to ensure proper discipleship and serving opportunities are being provided for those aged newborn-11. 5. Work alongside the Youth Pastor to ensure proper transition of those moving from children’s ministry to youth ministry. 6. Be a presence in the local elementary schools to provide support as available. 7. Ensure proper management of the funds designated to your authority. 8. Adhere to the Hiway Staff Handbook as regulated by the Hiway Board of Deacons. 9. Train and develop as needed through reading, conferences, higher education, peer-mentorship, etc. as funds permit.

1. Training in child development (or five plus years of experience in the field); 2. Bible College training (or in the process of pursuing a B.Th. or higher); 3. Cultural sensitivity

Training in childhood development; training in Pentecostal theology

A minimum of 5 years experience working with children and families would be an asset. Attachments Hiway Church Family Ministries Pastor
