Job Description
Central, a large, ethnically diverse, multi-generational church in the heart of the Niagara Region, is hiring a Next Gen Program Coordinator (1 year contract). Are you interested in impacting the lives of hundreds of youths and young adults each week? Do you have a passion for reaching the next generation for Christ? Do you dream of leading in a cutting-edge environment where you have the freedom to creatively engage families? We are seeking a coordinator to oversee programming for our Next Gen. team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We want to create a space for all youth and young adults can connect to God and to each other:
Events, Retreats, Camps, Interest Groups:
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, retreats, camps, and interest groups for Jr & Sr Youth (Grades 6 to 12) and young adults
- Ensure details are covered to ensure a dynamic experience for participants
- Partner with the Next Gen. pastors to develop ways for unchurched youth and young adults to have conversations about God
Wednesday Nights:
- Ensure that plans are executed for our Wednesday Night experiences, in partnership with the Youth pastor
- Partner with the Next Gen. team to facilitate all aspects of Family Group Night
Volunteers:
- Ensure Group leaders are fully screened in order for them to lead
- Oversee scheduling of volunteers across all Jr & Sr Youth and Young Adult programs

Required Skills
• A person that is able to balance several projects at the same time
• A person with a passion for reaching the Next Generation
• Digitally savvy. You are comfortable with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Youtube etc.
• Able to work with staff teams across departments
• Reliable, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect both with youth and their parents
• Are self-motivated and able to take initiative
• A person who has a working knowledge of Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience Required
Administrative experience, an asset.
