Job Description
This is a full-time pastoral leadership role that requires someone who has a deep love for children and youth and a commitment to shepherding the faith of the next generation. As the Next Generation (Next Gen) pastor, you will be reporting to the Lead Pastor, and working collaboratively with the ministry team in place. The Next Generation Pastor will facilitate relational connection and spiritual growth of kids and students through weekly gatherings, groups, leader teams, and special events.
Hours: 40 hours per week which includes Youth, Sunday Worship and Children’s Ministry.
There may be other duties as requested by the Lead Pastor
Required Skills
- Plan, Organize, and Lead Bi-Monthly Youth Ministry. Develop a youth leadership team.
- Coordinate the Sunday Kids Ministry programs working with and developing team members.
- Pastor the Students & Children currently attending Valley Worship Assembly.
- Assist the Lead Pastor in various duties as assigned.
- Become a historian, get to know the culture of Drayton Valley and Valley Worship Assembly
- Plan quarterly Kids and Family outreach events. Develop a team to help you.
- Regular meetings with the Lead Pastor.
