Job Description
Accountable To: Lead Pastor Category of Employment: Full-time ($55-65,000 plus benefits) Office Hours: Average of 40 hours per week, with the exception of heavy ministry seasons. The Family Life Pastor/Director plays an integral role in providing complete oversight to the children's and youth ministry at GKMC. They lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in creating engaging and impactful experiences that nurture the faith of children and teens and support families in their spiritual journey. The primary focus of this role is to cast a vision and implement a structure that facilitates a clear path of discipleship and growth for children and youth. This person will need to lead, recruit, motivate, empower, and train staff and lay leaders who will provide a large portion of the hands-on ministry.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
· Proficiency in digital platforms and technology, with a keen understanding of how to leverage digital tools and resources to enhance family ministry experiences and effectively engage with families in a digital environment.
· Ability to work collaboratively with other ministry leaders and teams within the church.

Education Required
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university, college, or seminary, with coursework that includes ministry-relevant Biblical and theological training.
Experience Required
Must have experience leading, directing, and conducting a variety of teams.
