Native English Speaking Teacher

Asia

Purpose

Quality education is a felt need around the world. Christian quality education is such a beautiful opportunity to share the love of Jesus. As a Native English Teacher in Hong Kong – if you are hired by the school and the Education Department - you can invest in the lives of hundreds of students, be on team, build friendships and be a disciple-making Christian leader. How good is that?

Background and Position

Ka Chi Secondary School was started by PAOC Global Workers many years ago and is still sponsored by PAOC to this day. It is an incredibly special and creative place. We love this school of high schoolers and the leadership of the school. It is overtly Christian but the students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. There are a number of these types of Christian schools in Hong Kong currently, and each of these schools has a Native English Speaking teacher.

Every year there are opportunities for qualified teachers in Hong Kong.

The sponsors of the schools, do not hire the teachers, but PAOC would love for mission minded Canadians to apply for these types of roles. Final decisions are made by the English departments and the government. People who apply this year can be hired for a September 2024 start, and so there is time to transition well.

This is a beautiful opportunity to engage with the community as a “Jesus representative.” Our PAOC global worker family are longing for long-term people to come and serve.
