Ministry Focus: The Syrian refugee problem continues to worsen due to ongoing war and fighting in the North of Syria. There are approximately 3.6 million refugees in Turkey. Displaced people continue to seek refuge in Turkey. The government is not able to adequately accommodate and take care of all the refugees. The burden is too great. Many fall through the cracks, especially the children. A high percentage of refugee children are not able to attend Turkish school for various reasons. First Hope Association (FHA), has established refugee centers across the country in four major urban centers. They provide care packages for families in need and have also training centers for children; to help them learn Turkish and help them integrate into Turkish society. Out of this ministry a blossoming Arabic church has been planted. Ninety-five refugees were baptized in the past twelve months and are being pastored by an Arabic speaking pastor from Egypt.

Ministry History: FHA was founded in 2015 by a group of Turkish pastors united under a joint objective and vision to show the love of Jesus to the least of these in obedience to the “Love your neighbour as yourself” command. As a non-governmental organization, FHA has a passion to help those who can't help themselves and to give people a new hope through assistance and relief activities carried out within the context of Christian values and the local law.
We have partnered with FHA and have agreed to help the ministry on a project basis. We desire to help with providing relief packages for families in need; backpacks for pre-school children, and other financial needs to see this valuable ministry help those who can't help themselves.
