Job Description

As the mission sending agency of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Mission Global provides operational support to over 333 global workers in 60+ countries worldwide. Our primary task is to assist our global workers, empower our churches, and act as a seamless link between Canadian believers and a network of international partners and ministries. Our mission is To glorify God by making disciples everywhere by proclaiming and practising the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. You are joining the Development & Communications team of Mission Global, which is responsible for communicating to our churches and individual donors. The team is strategic, creative, and agile in our work. We have fun and love results. We are looking for an individual to drive our campaign writing with strong copy and grant writing skills. You are a strategic thinker that understands fundraising and has the skills to write compelling copy that motivates people to give. You are our senior storyteller, gifted in integrating God’s story, our organization’s story, and the donor’s story into a compelling narrative. You are able to cultivate relationships with our workers and partners around the world and translate their success into meaningful experiences for their donors in Canada. You can use data and donor preferences to create segmented donor communications. You are passionate about, and love, writing. You are a high-capacity individual who takes on new challenges as they emerge.

Required Skills

Grant Writing • Develop and write grant proposals to be submitted to foundations and major donors. Collaborate with the Director of Development in the research, planning, writing and administration of the grant writing process. Fundraising Campaigns • Collaborate to develop campaign strategy and direction. Full spec campaign writer, responsible for writing: • Print, Email, Landing page Website content • Responsible for developing and writing content for our website. Includes: o Organizational pages, Worker’s profile pages, Our integrated charities and global programs • Corporate and public relations content • Partner Development coaching o Provides coaching to our front-line fundraisers through one-on-one and online workshop training o Use your passion for writing and fundraising to help our workers succeed in their fundraising efforts • Work closely with the Director of Development on fundraising strategies, opportunities for international projects that need funding, and marketing ideas to propel our cause forward. • As a key development and communications team member, participate weekly in our team Zoom calls.

Education Required

• College or university graduate with copywriting or marketing is preferred.

Experience Required

• 3-5 years experience in copy/grant writing required. • Proven written communication skills with a track record of success. • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to balance collaborative and independent work • Proven track record of working in a results-oriented environment with multiple competing deadlines. • Strong time and self-management. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. • A proven commitment to Christian service.
