PURPOSE STATEMENT: The role of the Generations Pastor is to support current and future ministry effectiveness within the campus. This will require a passion for kids and families both in our church and in our city. This role requires a strong team dynamic, a firm grasp of the culture and vision of Lifecentre, as well as a strong leadership gift that encourages, equips, and empowers leaders and teams in growing together with Jesus to make a difference in our city. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Possess Christ-like, servant attitude Devoted to the call of God and the vision/mission/strategic approach of Lifecentre Has a passion for Jesus, people and our city Self-motivated, leader and team builder Able to communicate vision with passion, clarity and enthusiasm Forward thinker with an imaginative flair, aware of current trends, and leading tools SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Able to initiate, execute and manage effective systems that better communicate to people Able to mobilize teams in order to accomplish a mission Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects/systems simultaneously Results-focused leadership with persuasive interpersonal skills adaptable to a variety of personalities and situations Professional in speech, conduct and presentation, worthy of representing Lifecentre well in all organizational and city-wide interactions Able to manage budgets for maximum impact Is currently (or willing to become) a member of Lifecentre Holds credentials (or willing to work towards) with PAOC or OBFF PRIMARY DUTY: To minister to the congregation of The Life Centre Christian Fellowship Church, with emphasis on providing pastoral services to the Kids (and youth), through our LifeKids & LifeStudents programs and events, as well as to families and kids in the surrounding neighbourhood. The Generations Pastor responsibilities will include: 1. Model Biblical Priorities Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Lifecentre. The Generations Pastor should represent a growing personal relationship with Jesus, and model a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable). The Families & Outreach Pastor strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships and actions. These objectives are accomplished by: •Committing to a daily quiet-time with God Participating in a Lifecentre small group on a regular basis. •Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity. •Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church. •Modelling servanthood and generosity through time, talent and treasure. •Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of Lifecentre employees, as defined by the Lifestyle Manual. 2. Lead and Give Pastoral Oversight to LifeKids (50%):Responsible for growing kids and volunteers together with Jesus to making a difference in our city, by leading all aspects of LifeKids in Kanata by promoting and prioritizing an ‘’Orange” environment and approach to ministry. These objectives are accomplished by: •Envisioning and mobilizing a leadership team of parents and volunteers. •Recruit, train and continue to develop ministry volunteers leaders by promoting GrowthTrack, Team Nights, and Lifecentre’s Mission of making a difference through serving. •Provide administrative support, training and pastoral care to LifeKids Volunteers & Team Leaders. •Involve kids in the ministry of the church as a whole, supporting and participating in the church’s vision, worship experiences, and activities. •Build and maintain quality relationships with parents, while strategically cultivating community for young families through special events, outreaches and experiences, such as: Christmas Spectacular and Family Fun Day Connect and collaborate with the Generations Team across each campus to promote unity in content, curriculum, creativity and culture. •Lead, dream and implement events for kids outside of Sunday services at strategic times. This could include but not limited to: Summer, PA Days, March Break or weekends that build relationships for kids and families. •Organize and facilitate church-wide, seasonal initiatives such as: Backpack give-a-way, Gifts for Kids, Treat Your Street, Serve Day, Operation Shoebox, Summer Camp, etc. 3. Lead and Give Pastoral Oversight to LifeStudents (30%):Responsible for building upon, leading, and pastoring all LifeStudents environments and experiences, from grades six to twelve, with a goal to reach as many students as possible. This will require a firm grasp on Lifecentre’s mission, vision, and values, as well as the ability to work in a team dynamic with staff, student leaders, and adult volunteers. This includes but not limited to: •Leading all aspects of Jr High and Sr High ministry at our Kanata location. •Creating engaging environments for both Jr and Sr High Students that inspire them to Experience Life, Live in Community, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference Envisioning and mobilizing a leadership team of young adult and student leaders. •Demonstrating organizational skills and in ministry initiatives, implementation, and resource management •Connect and collaborate with the Generations Team across each campus to promote unity in content, curriculum, creativity and culture. 4. Administrative Duties (20%) This includes, but not limited to: •Attendance in leadership meetings. •Provide administrative support, training and pastoral care to LifeKids Volunteers & Team Leaders Use and maintenance of PCO for scheduling, check-in, workflows, profile management and communication. •Provide regular reports of goals, wins, challenges, upcoming experiences.
