Job Description

•Develop, oversee, and administrate children’s ministries from newborn to pre-kindergarten for all weekend services •Be responsible to recruit, screen, train, schedule, equip, and empower volunteers in your department •Develop ministry teams for each department: Nursery / Toddlers / Preschool / Children’s Check-in •Ensure that all policies pertinent to children’s ministries are being followed •Develop and oversee a children’s worship team •Collaborate with the Elementary Children’s Pastor to provide midweek programs, special events, and day camps •Collaborate with the Elementary Children’s Pastor to develop a strong communication strategy for children, parents, and families •Develop and oversee a children’s worship team •Be part of the local ministry of the church through pastoral care and other pastoral duties •Attend staff meetings, staff prayer, and planning days

Required Skills

•A passion for and knowledge of ministry with children and families •A love for working with people, with a genuine desire to see them flourish and grow in their ministry roles •An approachable, visible, and collaborative individual •Hard working, self-disciplined, and able to work independently under pressure and to tight deadlines •Able to deal with professionally and personally sensitive issues with empathy, discretion and confidentiality •Excellent communicator and educator, confident and culturally aware •Technologically astute Organization and administrative skills including attention to detail

Education Required

Undergraduate degree and or certificate

Experience Required

3-5 years experience leading or assistant leading in a large church setting
