Reporting to the Director of Development, this permanent, full-time salaried position (Monday to Friday at 40 hours) offers a competitive salary, based on qualification and expertise, an full benefits program (including pension plan). It is a remote work position and the start date is as soon as possible.
As the mission sending agency of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Mission Global provides operational support to over 250 global workers in 90+ countries worldwide. Our primary task is to assist our global workers, empower our churches, and act as a seamless link between Canadian believers and a network of international partners and ministries. You will join the Development & Communications team of Mission Global, which is responsible for communicating to our churches and individual donors through concerted fundraising initiatives. The team is strategic, creative, and agile in our work. We are a collective of individual contributors who collaborate to improve our work by actively listening, understanding, and making adjustments based on feedback and data. We also have fun and love results.
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to oversee our online presence and play a key role in advancing our mission. You will be responsible for the overall management of our website, ensuring its effectiveness and user-friendliness for our donors. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our online engagement and drive donations. You are passionate about engaging people in the digital landscape. People say you are creative and love to inspire others to support life-changing Gospel causes.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Web Design and Development
• Design website layout, graphics, colour schemes, and user interface.
• Create a user-friendly website that drives engagement and increases donations.
Measure conversions, conduct user testing, and adjust accordingly.
• Create visuals (images, icons, graphics) to enhance website aesthetics.
• Conduct testing to ensure the website functions correctly, is cross-browser
compatible, and is performing optimally.
• Implement basic SEO best practices, such as optimizing images and ensuring
proper HTML structure.
• Regularly work alongside the team's senior writer to update and maintain the
website's content, including text, images, videos, and other media.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow our online engagement and drive
donations.
• Monitor the performance of the website engagement, track traffic and conversion
rates, and generate reports to assess the website’s effectiveness.
Digital Engagement
• Create and design email campaigns, collaborating with both the senior writer and
director of development, to make certain the campaigns align with Mission Global's
strategies and branding.
• Segment email lists for targeted messaging.
• Design email templates for a consistent and professional appearance.
• Schedule and send email campaigns for optimal engagement.
• Maintain and manage our email lists.
• Develop strategies to grow the email subscriber list.
• Create and manage automated email workflows, such as welcome emails, drip
campaigns, and follow-up sequences.
• Conduct quality assurance testing on email campaigns.
• Monitor the performance of email campaigns, track open rates, click-through, and
conversion rates, and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of our
campaigns.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as our personnel and program departments
and global workers, to coordinate email campaigns with overall marketing
strategies.
• Stay updated on digital marketing best practices and emerging trends.
• Ensure that all email campaigns comply with regulations.
Other
• Oversee the digital assets of the organization including the software that manages
all digital assets.
• Work closely with the director of development on fundraising strategies,
opportunities for international projects that need funding, and marketing ideas to
propel our cause forward.
• Stay updated on digital marketing best practices and emerging trends.
• Actively participate weekly in our team Zoom calls.

Required Skills
• Proven web development and online engagement skills with a track record of
success.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Shopify, Canva, Google Analytics, and

Experience Required
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in web development and digital engagement.
