Job Description
Our Church, located in Chapleau, Ontario, is looking to hire for the position of Assistant Pastor and Program Coordinator. Purpose of Hire:
-To provide employment for a recent graduate.
-To provide an environment to develop skills as well as help the local church.
-To provide wide mentoring and training toward ordination
Expected Participation:
-Assist with all the programs of the church
-Take leadership of outreaches within the community
-Vacation Bible School ages 4-12
-Youth Connections. Building on existing programs
-Local Food Bank run through the church
-Plan and participate in yearly Mission to Haiti
-Help plan and implement Winter Family Retreat
-Help plan and present Christmas Banquet and outreach for over 250 people
-Assist Pastor with all duties in support of church activities
Remuneration: A salary based on 35 hours per week @ $17.25/hr, paid monthly
Requirements: University and college graduates who have graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. Candidates must be graduates of post-secondary degree or diploma programs. Candidate must be eligible for Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada Credentials The position must provide the intern with first time employment in their field of study. Candidates are only eligible to participate in the internship program one time. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The successful candidate must have graduated from a Christian Ministry/Theology diploma or degree program within the past three years. Graduates in other related fields may also be considered.
