Job Description

- 40 hours/week
- reports to Lead Pastor

Worship Department (60%)
- plan, prepare and lead worship consistently & effectively that provides an atmosphere of modern worship for a multigenerational congregation
- develop, train and equip other worship leaders / vocalists and instrumentalists
- invest in the spiritual health and well-being of the musicians and vocalists through discipleship and care conversations (cultivate a sense of community among the team)
- work with lead pastor to develop thematic approach to weekly worship services
- prayerfully choose set list that compliments the teaching theme
- run weekly practices to prepare for Sunday service
- create or retrieve chord charts for each song
- plan and direct special Easter & Christmas services or presentations
- work with a worship choir
- oversee platform set up for Sunday gatherings or special events “as required”
- schedule the vocalists, musicians and sound people
- keep a healthy library of songs to be played from the iPod for pre-gathering and special events like funerals, or seasonal gatherings around Christmas / Easter and prayer gatherings
- be willing to serve when possible at funerals or weddings as requests

Media (40%)
- Responsible for technical production of services - video, media, lighting.
- develop, train and equip a team of people to execute technology for worship services
- development of web content, using best practices and creative ideas, making weekly updates
- Design graphics for sermon series carrying theme through
- Graphic design for advertisements
- Create weekly video announcements and be responsible for other media (ie download video for Father's Day)
- Create highlight videos (ie - baptism, community outreach, special events)
- Provide technical advice and guidance on design and technical graphics issues to other departments

Required Skills

- ability to lead congregation in worship with serving, passionate heart for Christ
- proficient musical skill including strong lead vocal, vocal harmonies and some instrument(s)
- ability to delegate tasks and manage teams
- web / video editing experience & knowledge
- creative vision
- strong interpersonal skills
- communication and organizational skills
- self starter and committed to the follow through

Education Required

- At least some post secondary education
- some PAOC credential OR willingness to earn PAOC credential

Experience Required

- worship leading experience
- web / graphic experience
- video editing experience
- sound experience
