Purpose
There are endless opportunities in this rapidly developing country for those with a self-starter attitude and the ability to create opportunities! Although some of the population are Buddhist, Vietnam is unique in Asia with a majority registering as non-religious or atheist. Quality education is a high value in Vietnam, so starting affordable, private English schools is an effective and proven method for community outreach. Come alongside Vietnamese leaders to start schools.
Skills
Education degree and some teaching experience required. TESOL certificate, and school administration skills an asset. Ability to build friendships, personal initiative and a sense of adventure will be helpful. This opportunity is available for both volunteers (1-year minimum) and those who are considering long-term engagement.
Support
Orientation would be provided by the team leader including coaching, ministry and cultural orientation, and help getting set up to live in the city.
Our Mission Global team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Training, administrative support and mission coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
