This summer our church had three camps for children, teenagers and handicapped children. Not only was there a lot of fun with games and activities, but the presence of the Lord was very real during the worship and prayer. Many children and youth decided to follow Jesus for the first time, and others rededicated their life to the Lord
Teen Challenge Open House
In July we had a large gathering at the Teen Challenge center where family members, government officials and Orthodox priests were invited. It was a wonderful time of testimonies and fellowship as we ate with parents, the governor's assistant and Orthodox priests. For the first time priests came to our facility, and we were able to share with them about the Teen Challenge curriculum. They were very interested in learning how we do the program and took several copies of the group studies.
Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames
In August our church held three performances of the evangelistic play "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames." We thank God for those who responded at the alter call for salvation. Please pray for all those who heard the Gospel message to choose to live for Christ.
Over 70 people attended a training session at our Teen Challenge School for leaders in Novokuznetsk. It's an honor to host leaders from five other countries besides Russia. It was a blessing to have Kevin Tyler, from Georgia, teach on Integrity and Christian character. The need for training is great throughout Russia, and next year we're planning to start the Leadership School in six cities across the country from Moscow to the far east. Please pray for God's leading and provision for these schools.
This summer we celebrated six weddings in which each groom was a Teen Challenge graduate. By the end of this year, there will be 10 weddings. It's amazing how God is putting families together from such previously broken lives and calling them into the ministry!
Please pray for 44 new believers who were baptized this summer to grow strong in their faith and in their walk with the Lord. Our son, Joseph, was so excited to see his best friend, Nikita, getting baptized. Nikita was the captain of our son's hockey team and started attending church two years ago. Please pray that Nikita will grow strong in the Lord as Joseph leaves to study in the States.
Please continue to pray for the Bantseevs as they minister in Siberia. To help support their ministry, click on the donate button below!
