We have been visiting and helping Syrian refugees every week for the last year. As we have been doing this, consistently we have had the opportunity to build relationships with various individuals at the camps. We had been praying about being able to give Bibles to people in the camps. We had some Arabic Bibles but found that most of the people that we were meeting, especially the woman, don’t know how to read. So we were praying about finding audio Bibles that people could listen to in their own languages. While “J” was in Canada, he came across a ministry that specializes in making and distributing audio Bibles in many different languages across the world. “J” had the opportunity to speak on their radio station about our ministry. A few months later, someone offered to donate a significant amount of money so that hundreds of audio Bibles could be sent to us. This was such an answer to prayer!

Recently, we had 200 audio Bibles sent to us. Upon arrival at the airport they were almost confiscated from us but, with prayer, they were miraculously allowed through, not without hours of being questioned and having to pay duties. But praise the Lord, they made it through! To date, we have given out approximately 20 audio Bibles and now have 200 more to give. Please pray that we would be able to bring more into the country safely and that more people would be open and ready to receive the word of God.
Some weeks ago, a few medical doctors came to help us minister and provide care to the refugees. We assisted the doctors by retrieving medication that was needed and writing down meds that we needed to order. Through a translator, we learned that one of the ladies was expressing her feelings of suicide. The Arabic translator, who has only been a believer for a year, was able to share her testimony of salvation and how the Lord set her free from a similar situation. The doctor leaned over to me and asked me for a few things and then jokingly ended by asking for an audio Bible. I said, “yes, I have one in the car” and ran to the car to get it. He was so shocked and impressed that we had them available.
Pray for more encounters like this one and that many more Bibles would be given...
That day we were able to pray for the lady and give her the word of God. Jesus is the ultimate healer and best medication. He doesn’t just cover up our symptoms but heals and delivers us completely. Pray for more encounters like this one and that many more Bibles would be given to these beautiful people.
Please join us in praying for the W family. We invite you to connect with them by email and social media too. Here’s how you can stay connected:
