CANADA SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM

Today (March 19), Members of Parliament are voting on a motion concerning the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. The motion would affirm that organizations that do non-political, non-activist work should be able to access summer student funding regardless of their private convictions and whether or not they sign the attestation of values and beliefs. Please pray that the motion is passed, and continue to pray for appropriate and effective action to be taken across Canada to challenge recent changes made. Pray that religious freedoms would be both respected and protected, and that God will intervene on our behalf.

SASKATCHEWAN DISTRICT

The Rural Leadership Conference is being held at Cypress Hills Camp in Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan, from March 21 to 23. As they connect with one another and learn about crafting their ministries, may God strengthen these leaders’ passion to reach their communities for Christ and grant them wisdom and favour in their ministry activities.

EASTERN ONTARIO DISTRICT

Pray for the young leaders attending the GO leadership camp that is being held at The Embassy in Oshawa, Ontario, on March 23 and 24. May God use this weekend to encourage, equip, and build young leaders as they train in the creative arts.

RESTRICTED ACCESS NATION

Pray that God will bless these global workers with wisdom and opportunities to share the gospel and that their existing friendships will grow deeper. Pray that God will raise up local church planters in the area and that this family will be encouraged as they partner with other believers throughout the region. Pray also for the health, strength, safety and security of these global workers as they minister and serve in this Restricted Access Nation.
