Tanzania: A Story of Success

Tanzania: A Story of Success

Remember Wilfred? Pamoja hired him to slash grass back in 2008. He had dropped out of high school, and wasn't sure what his future looked like. He was extremely bright, so Joy (Jeremy's mom) took the time to teach him to type. When Wilfred asked if Pamoja's policy of helping cover high school tuition expenses for staff children ever extended to staff themselves, Jeremy re-wrote the policy so it did. A retired college professor from our home town of Cranbrook, BC donated the funds to cover half of those fees. Jeremy also adjusted Wilfred's work schedule so he could attend classes and still work. When he graduated, I sent out a newsletter with his picture, because his success was also your success and ours.
