edf_logo---english

Welcome to Every Day Faith 2018, as we continue to encourage those attending churches or ministry contexts throughout our Fellowship in the reading of God’s Word, praying without ceasing, sharing the gospel in word and deed, and giving generously. Attached is the roadmap for January to December 2018. There is a “Key Thought” Scripture reference for the month, and a short, related prayer focus message. There are also corresponding prayer points and several related Scripture references for each month. You can contact our order desk at 905-542-7400 ext. 3223 or via email at orderdesk@paoc.org to get new prayer cards and promotional postcards. The new roadmap, sample 2018 prayer cards and the new promotional postcard are attached (there is no cost for the materials—just shipping charges will apply).

Thank you for your continued participation in Every Day Faith.

January – Spiritual Vitality – Read, Pray

Key Everyday Thought:

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit His soul? (Mark 8:36)

Time is a precious gift. We each have 24 hours on any given day, but at any moment, the complete picture of the length of our lifetime is always unknown. God’s primary purpose for us is relationship with Him, but He can easily be crowded out of all the plans and activities tugging at our hearts for our time and attention. Only with His help, strength and direction can we use each hour and each day we’ve been given to the best of our ability, and for Christ’s honour. You are unique, and God’s plan for your life is like no one else’s. Each day this month, invite the Lord to quiet your heart and to absorb His Word, long enough for Him to align your activities and your life to His best plans for you.

Ask and it will be granted…

  • That we will each have a deepened sense of the brevity of life
  • That God will increase our love for Him
  • That we will learn how to wait patiently on God’s timing
  • That we will trust God with our difficult situations
  • That we will trust God’s plan for our lives

PASSAGES TO PONDER:
Psalm 90:12
“Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.”

Deuteronomy 10:12
“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.”

Psalm 62:1
“…I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.”

Jeremiah 6:16a
“This is what the LORD says: ‘Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls…’”
