Reaching Unreached Communities

Hi. We are the Fellers. We moved to Ethiopia in 2003. We now have three children. Timothy and Bethany are 4 and Zoe is almost 3. They make life fun and exciting. We live in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia.  It is a large and growing city. Many people from all over the nation of Ethiopia move to Addis Ababa to pursue work and educational opportunities.

Timothy and Bethany are in the second year of school in KG1. They are in the same grade, but this year they are in different classes. They have long days of school and regularly get homework in three main areas: English, Math, and Amharic (an Ethiopian language). They have a school uniform with gray pants or skirts, a white shirt, and a red sweater vest. They must wear their uniform every day except Wednesday when they can choose to wear regular clothes. Wednesday is the typical washing day for the uniform to be cleaned, so most schools in the city don’t require a uniform on Wednesdays.
