In the early hours of Saturday morning (April 25) a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, causing at least 5,000 deaths to date and widespread damage, with many losing their homes. Please pray for all those impacted by this devastation and for everyone who will be responding to this crisis.

PAOC through ERDO is in contact with our local partners, Assemblies of God Nepal and Talitha Koumi Ministries to bring immediate relief supplies to the region.

We can help immediately by:

1. Praying for those immediately impacted by the earthquake, our partner churches as they seek to respond even as they are affected by the disaster, and that rain would not hamper relief efforts.
2. Giving: By inviting our PAOC congregations across Canada to give generously to crisis response. You can also give by visiting http://www.erdo.ca/nepal-earthquake. The Canadian Government will match your donations until May 25th, 2015.

We will be posting more information as it becomes available. In the meantime please pray that Nepal church leaders would have a strong sense of God’s presence as they extend themselves for others in the days ahead.
