INITIATIVES – GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT

PAOC 4-14 Focus: British Columbia and Yukon

As the District Children’s Specialist for the BC & Yukon District of the PAOC, I welcome you to join me in praying specifically for children and families in this part of our nation. Let’s pray with united hearts for:

Children and preteens to:
* have a personal, life changing encounter with the living God
* find their identity and purpose in Jesus
* be deeply rooted in God’s love and empowered by Scripture
* be filled by the Holy-Spirit
* discern the voice of God (in the midst of all the others voices that surround them) and respond to the Holy Spirit with bold obedience
* care and advocate for those in need
* own and share their faith
* discover and exercise their spiritual gifts

Parents to:
* experience the redemptive love and grace of God
* be set free from addiction, depression or the things that keep them, and even their families, away from God
* rely on God’s Word and wisdom to raise their children
* delight in their children’s unique design
* experience the presence, power and provision of God in difficult times 4-14-iconda7d496cb2cf645badfcff00009d593a
* model Godly character, stewardship and servanthood
* leave a legacy of faith for the future generations

Children, preteen and young teen pastors and leaders to:
* be refreshed and renewed in their body, soul and Spirit
* have hearts that are tuned to God’s direction and will for their life and ministry
* build and nurture healthy relationships and healthy emotional lives
* experience greater faith and grace along their ministry journey
* protect their families
* have this word from the Scriptures come to pass:

“Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven’t stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you’ll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us” (Colossians 1:9-12, The Message).
