Ministry Focus: Spencer is a fourth-year non-profit student, who will be heading overseas to be working with an organization called Imagine Thailand. Imagine Thailand focuses on three areas of work: education, leadership development, and other development initiatives, with the hope of building strong communities around Thailand (https://www.imaginethailand.org/about-us). Spencer hopes to gain experience and personal development as he joins Imagine Thailand in these areas, pursuing a future of leadership, interpersonal, and community development. Each step of Spencer’s journey is simply a part of the whole.
Ministry History: Spencer has participated in various opportunities within the local church, non-profit organizations, and overseas communities, developing and refining his call and purpose in God’s kingdom. He has worked with several PAOC churches, through volunteer positions and pastoral internships. Throughout his education, Spencer has pursued various opportunities to travel overseas in order to experience the richness and beauty of other cultures and communities. Most recently, he spent a few weeks in Uganda where he partnered with Classrooms for Africa, who focus on equipping local communities. Spencer’s involvement in the non-profit sector has significantly contributed to and influenced his passion for purposeful work that empowers and equips communities. In his years at Summit Pacific College, Spencer has been given several opportunities to lead and cultivate his giftings, especially in the field of team and leadership development, which he one day hopes to pursue full time.
