Location: Banaue, Philippines
Ministry Focus: Lisa will be serving as the Youth Outreach Worker for Noah’s Ark Ministries in Banaue, Philippines. Noah’s Ark runs a temporary home for children who are orphaned, abandoned, malnourished, have special needs, or are educationally disadvantaged. At Noah’s Ark, the children receive proper nutrition, education, and love, and are given a chance for a brighter future. They also receive spiritual care, and have an opportunity to come into a personal relationship with God. Lisa’s main role will be to provide pastoral support to the children and youth at Noah's Ark, in the local church, and in the surrounding community. It is her passion to show them the love and hope of Christ, and to be part of discipling them into a lifelong faith in God.
Ministry History: Lisa first visited Noah’s Ark in 2008 as part of a short-term missions team with her church, where they ran a VBS and a youth camp. It was there that she felt God calling her into full-time ministry, as she returned to Canada, she followed this leading, leaving a piece of her heart in the Philippines. After graduating from Master’s College and Seminary and serving in children’s and youth ministry roles in both Southern Ontario and Manitoba for several years, God has called her back to the Philippines. Lisa is excited to return and be part of what God is doing in the lives of the children and youth at Noah’s Ark!
