Location: Thailand, Southeast Asia
Ministry Focus: God has brought together two passions for each of us - skill development and empowerment. For Laura this embodies combining mental health and well-being for both Nationals, Migrants and Global Workers. For Kelvin this embodies computer training and relational outreach. Each of us will be serving in Mae Sot, Thailand using our education to further advance the education and well-being of others.
We are very aware that we have much to learn and be shown, but we are sure that this city of 300,000 people where 250,000 of them are Burmese refugees is the right place to be. We have decided to live more incarnationally with a community of Migrants and have recently been engaging in daily first aid, English classes, relationship building, and some medical consultation. Our focus here is to be more intentional with this relationally based ministry.
Ministry History: Kelvin and Laura met on the mission's field four years ago, where God brought them together to work with children in advancing education efforts for underprivileged kids. They continue to serve together in Thailand.
- Boldness, favour and courage to serve where God is leading.
- The families, students and partners we will be working alongside.
