Ministry Location: United Kingdom, Eurasia
Ministry Focus: I have a huge heart for the local community and reaching people by showing them the love of Jesus through everyday living. I work at a local coffee shop, Jimmy Piggs, where the ethos is more than just about coffee. It's about valuing each person who comes and showing them they are loved. I also partner with a local outreach program called "Love Mexborough". LOVE MEXBOROUGH is simple, we believe Jesus loves our town and the people matter. We host events for the community to come and enjoy. We build connections with the people and do life together with them. Our heart is to bring a light to a world that is pretty dark. That may look like serving a cup of excellent coffee or putting on a movie morning for families that may not be able to afford a Cineplex ticket. We just want Jesus to be known.
We also gather together on a weekly basis. It's a different approach to your typical church but the basics are the same. We worship together, pray together, take communion together and just do life together and grow as a core team together to reach the community God has called us too.
Ministry History: I took my first short-term mission at the age of 16 where my heart was captured by missions. I pursued missions and attended Summit Pacific College (SPC). During that time, at age 20, I travelled to Europe for the first time. It was another short-term mission, and God opened my eyes to Europe as a mission field. I spent a summer as an intern with Next Level International, where God further broke my heart for the entire continent. I was confident that God was calling me to work full-time in Europe. Five years later, after graduating from SPC, I moved to the UK to work with Mission: Europe and through that connection began working with Legacy Church. After working with Legacy Church for a couple years, I felt called to work more directly with the community and joined the "Love Mexborough" team.
