We are deeply saddened by the news that our global worker, David Wood, passed into the presence of the Lord on September 22, 2022.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Julie, and their children, Chelsea and David, their extended family, members of their church and PAOC family, and all who knew and loved him.

LOCATION: Vanuatu
TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: My dream is to see the International Christian Church in Port Vila continue to grow as more people come to Christ while acting as a sending church that builds God’s kingdom throughout Vanuatu and beyond.
MINISTRY FOCUS: I have served in the capital city of Port Vila, in the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, since 2015, with my husband, Dave, who passed away in September of 2022. Vanuatu is an island nation with a population of approximately 320,000 residents. We view this tiny nation as a “crossroads” for other global workers and church leaders.
We served as pastors at International Christian Church, a community of believers representing over 30 cultures. We have grown significantly over the years, and, in 2018, we began a building campaign. We have already purchased land and put up a washroom facility and Sunday School classrooms. We currently meet in a large marquis tent, which has been our church building since Jan 2019. In 2022, we began to build a multipurpose facility to serve as a community centre and church building. We have almost reached our funding target for this project, and the building is due to be completed in 2023.
I have returned to Vanuatu to see this project’s vision fulfilled. I can’t wait to see the building completed and able to seat 400+ people. Our vision is that it will be a thriving centre for the people in the city to frequent throughout the week for various programs and be a constant hub of ministry activity. This was Dave’s and my dream that I am committed to fulfilling!

MINISTRY HISTORY: My late husband Dave and I ministered together for over 34 years while raising our children, Chelsea and David. Dave graduated from Vanguard College, while I received my education degree from the University of Alberta. After pastoring in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta for many years, we felt a call to overseas service in 2015. This began our journey to Port Vila, the capital city of the South Pacific country of Vanuatu. Chelsea and her husband Armin also work alongside me as global workers in Vanuatu.

Pray that the Lord will pour out His Spirit in Port Vila, that many would find Jesus as their personal Saviour.

Pray that the Lord of the Harvest would continue to bring more leaders to assist me in discipleship and training.
