Ministry Location: El Salvador, Latin America & the ​Caribbean

Ministry Focus: After leading short term missions teams to El Salvador for 9 years Dennis and Valerie felt called to “surrender” their lives and serve full time on the missions field. Dennis and Valerie will be serving with Missions To El Salvador (MTES). Mission To El Salvador is a “hands-on” non-governmental Christian organization working in the heart of San Salvador serving those who are deeply affected by the cycle of abject poverty. MTES holistic approach creates sustainable projects which address the physical, spiritual, and mental needs of those most vulnerable to the defeating consequences of poverty. Steeped in relationship building and community engagement, our team works to discover and address core issues of inner-city poverty in order to restore dignity and safety to hurting and exploited Salvadorans.

Dennis role will be the Discipleship Coordinator. The Discipleship Coordinator will be in charge of overseeing the Discipleship aspects of all of our ministries and programs, as well as helping each ministry director to develop a strategy for disciplining and cultivating spiritual growth with all the members of their ministry, as well as with their volunteer teams. Dennis will also work with staff members to help them grow spiritually as individuals and as a team. Dennis will also help develop strategies for the leadership and each team member to carry out the vision of Mission To El Salvador. Valerie role will be The Director of Volunteers. She will will work to approve, train, equip, and coordinate national and international volunteers for service within MTES ministries, programs, and projects. Valerie will also be serving and mentoring the women and children who are guests at MTES.
