Location: Honduras, Latin America & the Caribbean
Ministry Focus: Dale and Carolyn are on the Schools of Hope (SOH) Honduras team. Specifically, they have been ministering within the Buena Vista community of Comayagüela, Honduras for the past 4 years. Since 2013, they have been actively involved in teaching Bible classes within the public school system. They also have a passion to train, equip, and empower nationals to teach these Bible classes. Since they have released these nationals, Schools of Hope has been able to expand into 15 different public schools. They partner with Seeds International to bring the discipleship program, Seedlings, to over 900 grade 5 students. Along with the SOH team, Dale and Carolyn work to bring hope through ChildCARE Plus sponsorship, the ERDO feeding program, and water filtration project.
Ministry History: For 21 years, Carolyn and Dale served as Children's and Family pastors within the Western Ontario District of the PAOC. Carolyn and Dale had a desire to serve overseas for many years. Carolyn felt an attachment to Honduras during a stopover on a cruise two years ago. During a short term missions trip in March of 2012, they knew that they needed to return full-time to serve with the Schools of Hope!
