Ministry Location: Thailand, Southeast Asia
Ministry Focus: English language training is a way to build relationships between the church and schools, universities and communities across the city. At Jaisamarn, Andrew focuses on one-on-one private tutoring, small classes and after school programming. For the church, Andrew assists with English ministries, English Sunday morning Bible study, hosts short-term mission groups and contributes to extra-curricular activities for life groups and the youth group. He also currently does ESL language training at Thailand Pentecostal Seminary, Jaisamarn Don Mueang and Prommit Wittaya School. Andrew continues to enjoy building relationships within the multicultural, suburban areas of Bangkok.
Ministry History: Andrew went to Zambia and South Africa at the age of 17 on a short-term missions trip while still in high school. This is when he felt he received confirmation that he wanted to be a full-time cross-cultural worker. Andrew completed a missionary training internship with Impact Africa in 2010 and moved to the U.S. where he joined Teen Mania’s Honor Academy, a one-year Christian leadership training program in Texas. He then transferred to Bethany Global University in Minnesota where he graduated with a double major B.A. in Intercultural Studies and Bible & Theology. As a part of his schooling, Andrew completed a 16-month global ministry internship in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and has pursued furthering his education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Montessori education.
