MISSION CANADA Indigenous worker
Ministry Location: British Columbia
Ministry Focus: Indigenous Canadians
Canada’s Indigenous people numbered 1.4 million in 2011 - http://www12.statcan.gc.ca/nhs-enm/2011/as-sa/99-011-x/99-011-x2011001-eng.cfm. Addictions, suicide and hopelessness are only a few of the barriers holding many indigenous people back from walking in freedom that can be found in Christ.
Leah is a passionate follower of Christ who, along with the support of her husband Rob, desires to see the kingdom of God invade Indigenous people. Leah knows that true freedom, healing and restoration comes only through the power of God’s love.
As a new Mission Canada worker, Leah’s focus is to reach out to Indigenous communities on Canada’s west coast, daily sharing life and faith. Leah seeks to equip and empower people, helping them experience what it is to walk fully in their identity in Christ, so they can live a life of unwavering hope. Her prayer is for people to experience God as the One True Creator, who has created each individual with a divine purpose.
Leah desires to see heaven invade earth as she works among Indigenous Canadians. She is available to travel to reserves in BC’s lower mainland, as well as elsewhere in our nation. To connect with Leah, email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
