A critical area for training leaders is the MENA region—Middle East and North Africa. Here, French is commonly used in commerce and education.
The demand for French language extension courses in is a cry that Eli and Elsa Chiarelli addressed in their years of training in Africa. Today, Rev. Helen MacMinn hears petitions for help repeatedly. MacMinn created and manages the Transformational Church Leadership program (TCL) at Pan African Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya, which is now poised to expand into French. The TCL diploma has three levels comprising seven courses each. Learning centres operate in over XX locations, with over 3,000 students in the past 10 years.
Will you partner to provide French learning materials for the TCL program? So far, $16,000 has been invested in translation and textbook creation to get the first level of TCL courses translated. The current need is to translate and layout the textbook and leaders' guides for the three specialized programs for the TCL diploma:
• Transformational Leadership in the Local Church
• Transformational Children’s Ministry and
• Transformational Youth Ministry.
Each course is estimated at $10,000 each, with $5,000 for translation, $3,500 for layout, and $1,500 for printing a start-up supply. Will you invest in training French Africans for ministry?
