Location: Nairobi, Africa
Ministry Focus: As global workers with PAOC, Aubrey and Merab have future plans to return to Nairobi for six months a year (October - April) and host any team across Canada who would be interested in doing work for approximately two weeks at PAN Africa university and orphanage sites.
Ministry History: Aubrey and Merab were first introduced to short-term missions in 2003. Merab travelled with a team to the Philippines. While there she visited Noah's Ark orphanage, spent time with the children, did some painting, and visited clinics. In 2004 Aubrey travelled with a team to Malawi, Africa, to assist in the building of Grand Falls house at Village of Hope (VOH). Both Aubrey and Merab travelled to Malawi in 2008 and 2010, again assisting at VOH, spending time with the children and visiting villages and clinics. In 2012 and 2014, they spent three-month terms at Pan Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya. During the first term Aubrey volunteered with the maintenance department, assisting with projects. Merab volunteered at an orphanage and got to know some students at the university. During the second term, Aubrey supervised the building of ramps and walkways to create accessibility for students in wheelchairs to classrooms, the chapel and the library. They volunteered for a few days with a medical team who travelled to schools and churches.
