MISSION CANADA CAMPUS WORKER
Ministry Location: Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, ON
Ministry Focus: Campus Ministry
As a recent graduate of Ryerson University, Jazelle has sensed God’s call back to Toronto Metropolitan University, otherwise known as TMU (formerly Ryerson University). This Toronto campus is home to over 43,000 students, the majority of whom do not know Christ. During her four years of study she was actively involved with LifeLine. She was LifeLine’s first student, and student leader. LifeLine is a community of students on a journey to find, follow, and serve Jesus. LifeLine’s weekly events includes chapels, bible studies, social activities, and outreach ministry on campus. Jazelle’s heart breaks for this campus and its students, and more specifically for the countless females studying there. She sees many who are broken – broken relationships, broken families, and shattered hopes and dreams. Her desire is for these young women to experience the transformation and wholeness that comes only from a relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ. Jazelle is using the gifts God has placed within her to impact this campus in unique ways. Her joy-filled spirit and ability to connect well with others provides opportunities for discipling individuals and small groups of female students. Her involvement with the Red Frogs Support Network on TMU's campus allows LifeLine and local churches to influence the campus and its students in positive ways. With a degree in Creative Industries, Jazelle’s skills help LifeLine to communicate its presence in greater ways, and for greater effectiveness in the days ahead.
