MISSION CANADA CAMPUS ASSISTANT
Ministry Location: University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC
Ministry Focus: Campus Ministry
Danielle is honoured to serve as a Campus Ministry Assistant with University Christian Ministries (UCM) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) for the 2024-2025 academic year. She serves UCM part-time and is currently in her final semester of her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology.
UCM is a Christian community that facilitates spaces on campus for students to encounter Jesus right where they are. Throughout the week UCM and the wonderful student leaders and staff members that call UCM home, lead prayer meetings, bible studies, a chapel service, worship nights, outreach and social events. Central to UCM's mission is to make disciples that go on to make more disciples! UCM does this through intentionally discipling young Christians within our ministry and walking alongside them as they grow in their specific giftings. Currently, as the only female staff member on the UBC campus, Danielle joined the UCM staff with the conviction to serve female student leaders at UCM. She mainly does this through facilitating weekly discipleship groups, prayer/worship meetings and one-on-one discipleship meetings. She is devoted to creating spaces where students at UBC fall deeper in love with the Lover of their souls, have His word written on their hears, and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Over the past eight years, Danielle has been captivated by the ways Jesus is moving in the lives of people. During these years, Danielle has served on staff with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), as an intern at a local church, and within various volunteer capacities at the churches and para-church organizations she has called home in the various places she has lived.
