PENTECOSTAL WORLD CONFERENCE

Pray for the almost 4,000 international guests attending “Spirit Now,” the 25th Pentecostal World Conference, being held in Calgary, Alberta, this week (August 27 to 30). Pray that God will grant each attendee clear direction and encouragement as they worship, pray, and share ideas with each other on reaching their communities and nations for Christ. Pray that sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and His insight into current and upcoming global events will be deepened. Pray that this global gathering will have a longstanding impact around the world. Pray also that as the attendees return to their homes and communities in their respective nations following the conference, that God will use them to change lives as the good news of the gospel is shared with justice, mercy, love, and power.

SOMALIA

Over two million Somalis are facing immediate starvation and over 5.4 million people across the country are projected to be food insecure. Families do not know where their next meal is coming from after seedlings and plants have withered and been washed away. May God provide comfort and encouragement for these families during this difficult time. Pray for ERDO as they seek to help these families in need by providing emergency food to thousands of people in Somalia over the next three months.

DISTRICT CAMPS

Pray for God’s continued spiritual strength and encouragement for everyone who attended camps across Canada this summer. Pray that any seeds that were planted in their hearts will find fertile soil, that they will speak boldly to their family members and friends about the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus. Pray that they will continue to grow in their relationship with God and that the Holy Spirit will continue to give them vision and courage to reach their communities for Christ.

Ian & Tiffanie Rowley

CAMBODIA

Pray that God will guide the conversations that Ian and Tiffanie have with those enrolled at the Global Student Centre. Pray that the students at the centre and ChildCARE Plus students will experience transformation through Christ as they are being discipled. Pray that God will guide the current Grade 12 graduates from ChildCARE Plus as they transition to post-secondary school and the workplace. Pray also for the health and safety of the entire Rowley family as they minister.
