BRITISH COLUMBIA & YUKON DISTRICT

Pray for all the children, pre-teen and family ministry leaders who will be attending Elevate Conference at Christian Life Assembly in Langley, B.C., from October 12 to 13. May they be equipped, encouraged and empowered as their leadership skills are developed and sharpened. May God bless them with wisdom and help them to look at their ministries with a fresh perspective. Pray also that they will build deep connections as they share ideas with one another on how to make an even greater impact in the lives of children and preteens for the kingdom.

MISSION CANADA

Update from Neighbours and Newcomers Network: “Spiritual warfare is real, and those who stand for Christ, having accepted God’s call to launch out in faith and challenge the gates of the enemy know that well. We earnestly ask you to pray for our Mission Canada workers who are part of our Neighbours and Newcomers Network. These workers engage daily with those from various cultures who adhere to different religious worldviews. Our workers and their families often face physical, mental and financial attacks. Pray they would be encouraged through a strong support network around them and protected from the enemy’s schemes. Pray for discernment and direction as they witness of the good news of Jesus, reaching newcomers to our nation and all who need to hear.”

UGANDA

Update from Linda: “Monday, October 8, was to be the first day of classes after Sanctus students had spent four weeks in self-study and ministry within their own churches. We were waiting to welcome them back when we received news that eight of them had been involved in a car accident. Some have been seriously injured, and all of them are in shock. It will take some time for them to heal both physically and emotionally.” Pray for appropriate medical care for each of the injured students. Pray for the Lord to meet each student’s emotional and physical needs. Pray also for wisdom for Sanctus leaders as they plan for the start of classes.
