The Hope A Village Brings

Hello! Our names are Julius, Jade, Ezra and Gabriel Kenyamanyara and we live in Tanzania in a city called Mwanza. We have lived in Mwanza for two and a half years now, but we have been in Tanzania almost five years. Julius is from Kenya, which is also part of East Africa and Jade is from Canada. Ezra and Gabriel were both born in Canada but have lived most of their lives in Tanzania.

Since we moved to Mwanza, we have been serving at a Children’s Home called Village of Hope Mwanza. At the Village, we focus on caring for children and providing especially vulnerable children with shelter, nutrition, healthcare, and education. We want to see that all children are loved and cared for, and our main aim is to bring them hope – and that hope comes from knowing Jesus.  At Village of Hope Mwanza, we have 85 children who live in our children’s homes. These children come from very difficult backgrounds – some are orphans, and some were abandoned and have no family to care for them. We have ten children’s homes each with a housemother who lives there and stays with the children like her own. Each house has 8-9 children. Our housemothers do a fantastic job taking care of these kids and showing them God’s love each day.
