On March 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., about 1,500 people were in attendance for the Easter Sunday service at Whitby Christian Assembly. It was so wonderful to watch streams of people enter the sanctuary. Rev. Marie ministered to a congregation filled with youth and children, which is something that always excites and warms her heart. The service began with such exuberant worship that it really set the tone for entire morning. A clear salvation call was given at the end of the service, and a large number of people responded and gave their hearts to the Lord! The message was entitled “Calvary – What’s It All About?”

Some lines and quotes from the message:

“Calvary is about choices!”

“Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character.' Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame” (1 Corinthians 15:33-34).”

“Could you imagine if there was no resurrection? People could live however they wanted, believing there would be no consequences for sins and no consequences after death. Jesus’ resurrection made the difference both then and now!”

“His love for us is so great that He’s preparing a Heaven which He wants to see everyone enter.”

Here are a few pictures from Pastor Marie’s time at Whitby from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.
